Report: cynic poised for Nouns return
Following the dismissal of Bobby "stamina" Eitrem on August 14th, Dust2.us understands that Nouns are set to re-sign David "cynic" Polster, bringing their former IGL back into the fold after only two months. The reported reunion would see cynic directly take over stamina's former roles on the team as expected, with cynic set to be the team's AWPer and IGL.
The return of cynic marks a reversal of fortunes for the IGL after being cut post IEM Dallas 2023. Despite Nouns tacitly endorsing stamina's leadership over cynic by bringing him back into the fold, stamina's tenure only lasted 42 days before he was also cut with little fanfare. As such, despite working with stamina for two weeks during their European bootcamp, the team seemingly had some degree of buyer's remorse over the changes made to the lineup.
cynic's second stint with the team will reportedly begin in short order as the team are playing the IEM Sydney 2023 Closed Qualifier in two days. Making it out of the qualifier will be a serious challenge for the reformed team as they will face M80, Complexity, and Forsaken on their way to IEM Sydney.
