Did Thunderpick accidentally leak M80's entrance to CS?
In a series of tweets announcing the four playoff teams of the Thunderpick World Championship North America Series 1, the organizer revealed that M80 has been invited to the playoffs. The only problem is that M80 does not yet officially have a Counter-Strike team just yet.
This news follows Dust2.us originally reporting that M80 would be entering with a squad primarily filled with former ATK players with the bombastic additions of Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and Danish IGL, Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen.
There is no confirmation from M80 that they have the reported squad or that they will in fact be entering Counter-Strike at this moment, but the VP of Esports Donald "SyykoNT" Muir replied to the tweet with his own cometic take on the matter. "Thanks for the invite" he jokes, "Let me see if I can put a team together real quick."
There is a lot of excitement in North America of M80 entering into the scene, especially as the region sees more teams flee to Europe instead. With the confirmation that the team will be participating in Thunderpick World Championship North American Series playoffs, the first match of this rumored M80 squad is set to be this Sunday at 05:00PM.
