Official: Imperial say goodbye to duo
Imperial have officially wished goodbye to their inaugural captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and their powerful rifler Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes amid rumors of them joining FURIA. FalleN's departure leaves Imperial with only Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo and Ricardo "boltz" Prass as the original members of the "Last Dance" roster that they signed to much acclaim.
FalleN's move to FURIA comes at an interesting time, as the AWPer and IGL had spoken several times about his desire to hang it up by the end of 2023. With FURIA seemingly looking to improve upon their lack of trophies in years past with the addition of the legendary Brazilian, it appears that such talks of retirement might have been premature.
As for chelo, leaving Imperial marks another rapid rise to the top for the rifler who saw his first major break on MIBR in 2021 through 2022. In moving to Imperial just over a year ago the rifler has continued showing his ability on the international stage, leading to the rumored offer from FURIA.
With the departures of both FalleN and chelo, Imperial is now:
Ricardo "boltz" Prass
Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
Jhonatan "JOTA" Wilian
Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (coach)
