ATK goes back-to-back with ESEA Cash Cup Circuit NA Cup #4 win
ATK secured another $4,000 and 150 points after another finals victory over Strife. This series was not as tight as the one just two weeks ago in the cup prior, with ATK just needing two maps to get the job done. Mirage and Overpass were the winning grounds for ATK en route to another gold trophy.
ATK's path through the sweet 16 was a relative breeze, besting Mystique and Detonate in BO1s before cutting through timbermen 2-0. Following the swift triage of wins, ATK was set to take on Strife again in a Cash Cup final. This time, Michael "reck" Serrano would lead the charge for his team to prevent another three-map affair and take the win in two.
reck and his teammates edged out the opposition on the T-side of Vertigo following a neck-and-neck 8-7 first half. Streaks of three and four were the headliners for a dominant T-side to win the first map 16-11.
Streaky T-sides were key for both teams on Inferno, with win streaks of five-plus rounds giving fire to both teams on offense. With things neck-and-neck at 12-11, ATK pulled away on the CT side thanks to wins in four of the last five rounds, securing the series. 16-12 was the final scoreline on Inferno, earning ATK their second Cash Cup in a row and in the circuit.
