Nouns vote reaches final day
Nouns recently finished up their Americas RMR campaign being only a single map win away from earning the right to fight in Paris, an impressive showing for a team that many did not consider would end up being so close to qualification.
The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) entered CS:GO in August 2022 when they acquired the former Gaimin Gladiators lineup and since then, have become one of North America's most successful teams in the domestic scene. With the team supporting David "cynic" Polster and co. consistently with bootcamps and salaries, the squad has now qualified for several events, made two RMRs, and will now be focusing on IEM Dallas which immediately follows the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
With momentum behind the team, and the current agreement to continue the esports division coming to a close at the DAO, a new proposal was formed and voting began approximately a week ago on April 6th. The vote regards the continuing support for the organization's CS:GO and Dota 2 teams as well as other esports projects for the remainder of 2023.
As of now, the vote has met the threshold of 99 votes, with a current tally of 185 for and 108 against. The current inclination is that the proposal has essentially been approved, as the Threshold (minimum number of For votes required to pass a proposal) is set as a function of the number of Against votes a proposal has received. The number of For votes required to pass the proposal reaches a max threshold of 15% of Nouns, which is 99. The minimum threshold needed is 66 Nouns, which is 10% of Nouns. The only people allowed to vote on the proposal are those that own one Noun, which is an NFT and currently available for 29 ETH each or $54,989. Those looking to create a proposal must own two Nouns.
