EG Black get their turn in second ESEA Cash Cup Circuit event
EG Black have clinched the second ESEA Cash Cup Circuit event, finishing ahead of Joshua "m1cks" Micks' Detonate in the finals. This marks the second time an EG team have finished on the podium as EG White won last week's event in what may their last showing following the news of the team's dissolution.
This iteration of the Cash Cup Circuit featured a far stronger turnout than last week, with EG Black being joined by fellow ECL squads Limitless, Detonate, and timbermen alongside top-level Advanced squad Take Flyte. Despite the higher turnout, the event was largely smooth sailing for the best teams in the event until top four, with Take Flyte having a fair shake at taking down EG Black before falling 2-0 while on the other side of the bracket Detonate took down timbermen in a close 2-1 series.
Moving into the finals, EG Black, with Jadan "HexT" Postma in place of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, managed to clinch a confident 2-0 win against Detonate to take home the $4,000 top prize.
With two events out the way, here's what top eight looks like in the ESEA Cash Cup Circuit:
#1-2. EG Black - 150 Points
#2.-2 EG White - 150 Points
#3-4. Detonate - 75 Points
#3-4. Davenport University - 75 Points
#5-8. Take Flyte - 50 Points
#5-8. timbermen - 50 Points
