woxic open to NA offers
When Özgür "woxic" Eker benched himself from Eternal Fire back in November 2022, he stated "I want to continue my career in an international team." That international team could be across the Atlantic according to the man himself, with woxic telling Dust2.us that he is open to offers from North American teams. When asked about the possibility of moving to NA, woxic responded:
I'm down to move to NA if every circumstances will be perfect for both sides.
While in no way an indication of the likelihood of woxic heading to NA, the 24-year-old has put himself in the shop window for any NA organizations who might want to add an experienced EU AWPer to their ranks.
Signing to the Cloud9 "Colossus" roster just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, woxic would play on the same team as Complexity rifler Ricky "floppy" Kemery during his short stint. While woxic struggled on Cloud9 as a result of the pandemic and the external issues it brought, his true potential was shown in 2019 on mousesports. Ranking as the 12th best player in the world, woxic would lift the CSGO Asia Championship and ESL Pro League Season 10 trophies under the leadership of Finn "karrigan" Andersen.
Despite a turbulent tenure with Eternal Fire, with multiple roster and role changes causing continuous friction, woxic remained a steady fixture in the team. Posting a 1.08 rating versus top 20 teams in 2022, woxic displayed his ability to balance responsibilities as well, taking over the IGL role as the team qualified for the PGL Antwerp Major. With the announcement still fresh, only time will tell where the Turkish AWPer will land.
