dapr set to play for Bad News Bears in second IEM Chicago qualifier; yay linked to Lazarus move
Michael "dapr" Gulino, who was recently let go from Lazarus, is set to play with Bad News Bears in the second IEM Chicago North America qualifier. The former eUnited man will be stepping into the shoes of Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker, Dust2.us has learned.
Dust2.us knows that the reason for yay's absence is due to a potential move to Lazarus, with a representative telling us such a move is "more than likely." If this came to pass, and dapr were to stay on with Bad News Bears, it would effectively be a swap between the two teams.
Dust2.us also knows that Bad News Bears have brought on Brandon "weber" Weber as an analyst, and he has been helping the team over the past month or so. The Brit last played for Endpoint, but has been inactive since May of last year.
Bad News Bears' lineup for tonight will look as follows:
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado
- Austin "crashies" Roberts
- Michael "dapr" Gulino (Stand-in)
- Brandon "weber" Weber (Analyst)
Tonight's qualifier will kick-off at 6 PM EDT, with registration remaining open until 5 PM EDT. With the second ESL One New York qualifier following hot on the heels, Bad News Bears may well call on dapr again.
