MIBR have the PLANO

One of the final matches of the first round, MIBR faced off against O PLANO in hotly contested battle on Nuke. O PLANO coming into this game as slight underdogs against MIBR and also at a curious disadvantage. The squad did not register a coach or a substitute, however they have Wilton "zews" Prado sitting in the background as he was signed to the team after the roster deadline.

It's unclear who is to say that a coach might have helped O PLANO, but their T-side certainly needed some help in their opening match at the IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR. Despite winning the opening pistol, the Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe-led squad were unable to keep the momentum going. Meanwhile, Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian and his band of merry men would recover from that opening deficit and instead be the ones to take control of the match. They would win six rounds in a row to make it 6-3, before trading back and forth to finish the half 9-6.

With the sides switched, MIBR were now the ones forced onto the attack and attack they did. Winning the pistol and converting the following rounds, MIBR took the drivers seat and did not want to get off this ride. Doubling their lead over O PLANO, it looked like everything was coming up MIBR. Despite some tricky mid-game rounds, MIBR simply did not give up total control and cruised to a 16-9 win over O PLANO.
