FalleN dominates in opener

The Brazilians looked incredibly strong as they easily took down Isurus.

Imperial and Isurus kicked off their Americas RMR campaign with a matchup on Overpass. With both opponents having nearly a month to prepare, it certainly didn't seem like the underdogs got the memo.

The match kicked off on Overpass, where Isurus seemed to be slightly favored due to their map history. The Argentinians had an 80% win rate over five maps, compared to Imperial's 33% win rate on only three maps. Despite that advantage, they didn't seem to show much strength in the first half as the T-side for Ignacio "meyern" Meyer & company. Isurus tried to get things going, however Gabriel "FalleN" Toldeo was rolling back the years with a peak 2016 performance. Imperial would hold them to only two rounds on their T-side as they take a dominant 13-2 half-time advantage.

Imperial started their second half T-side pistol round with an effective A-site exec and since then, well, it was just all Imperial all the way. The Brazilians would not let go of their advantage and finish the game 16-2. The biggest highlight was Fernando "fer" Alvarenga's 140.0 ADR throughout the game, a server high.

Imperial await to find out who they will end up playing following the conclusion of the first round of matches.
