EG send squads to FRAG

The Seattle-based organization will be sending two teams to NA's top event next week.

Fragadelphia 17's team list has received a significant upgrade, as Evil Geniuses have decided to send two rosters to the $100,000 LAN tournament. The Seattle-based organization will be represented by the squads colloquially known as EG.CD and EG.PA, two teams who are incredibly familiar with Fragadelphia. The addition of two of North America's best squads will be a major boon to a tournament that was already set to feature the likes of Apeks, oNe, Strife, and BIG Academy, among many other strong contenders.

For this event, EG.CD and EG.PA have elected to play as Evil Geniuses Black and Evil Geniuses White, which should help significantly if they find themselves staring each other down on stage.

EG Black attended the previous two iterations of Fragadelphia, however this will be William "RUSH" Wierzba's first FRAG event in seven years while Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz is a newcomer to the NA mainstay event. During Fragadelphia 16, Carpe Diem finished the event in 5th-8th place following a playoff loss to eventual champions Strife. At Fragadelphia 15, RBG finished the event in third place after losing to Party Astronauts, the core of which now wears the black and blue alongside them.

EG White's core missed out on Fragadelphia 16 but notably finished Fragadelphia 15 in second place following an incredible final against Bad News Bears. Jonathan "Jonji" Carey was a part of that BNB squad, meaning he will now be seeking a second FRAG title.

This event will be a great litmus test for both squads as they will have an opportunity to square off against a mix of the top domestic NA talent alongside a number of strong EU teams. It will also hopefully help North America hold onto the FRAG title against a stacked international field.

The two squads consist of:

United States Evil Geniuses White

  • Ben "ben1337" Smith

  • Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue

  • Jonathan "djay" Dallal

  • Jonathan "Jonji" Carey

  • Wesley "viz" Harris

  • Joseph "Muenster" Lima (Coach)

United States Evil Geniuses Black

  • Canada Colby "Walco" Walsh

  • United States Jerric "wiz" Jiang

  • United States Connor "chop" Sullivan

  • Canada Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz

  • United States William "RUSH" Wierzba

  • United States Tommy "Axed" Ryan (Coach)

Fragadelphia 17's Last Chance Qualifier is set to start this week on September 8th. Dust2.us will be covering the event extensively, so be sure to keep your eyes on the website and our social media channels throughout NA's top event.
