Complexity win friendly event

Complexity beat 777 in a series where the veto was decided by a rock-paper-scissors face-off.

Complexity is in Europe bootcamping for their next affairs such as ESL Pro League Season 16, IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR, and BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022, but still have a couple of weeks to prepare. As such, the team is staying in Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli's country, more specifically, in the Eldorado esports center, the biggest gaming house in Oslo and Norway.

As a welcome souvenir, the Norwegians set up a small tournament involving the North Americans and two home-country rosters, 777 and VOID. To make things more interesting the map pool consisted of legendary non-active maps, such as Train, Cache, and Tuscan. But that's not the end of the funny rules. Taking advantage of this being an offline tournament, it was decided that the veto system would consist of a match of rock-paper-scissors.

hallzerk and company had a free ticket to the finals, being the main "attraction" of the event, so they watched on as VOID played against Norway's champions, 777. As if playing against the champions wasn't hard enough, VOID had to play with a caster as a stand-in, unfortunately for them, it wasn't s1mple who was casting. Naturally, 777 took the first two maps and went on to face Complexity.

Complexity won an intense rock-paper-scissors face-off and they chose to play Train first, with 777 going for Cache. Starting on T-side Train is never easy, but it seemed like the strats were very well studied as the North Americans won the first half 9-6, with Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Michael "Grim" Wince posting up 19 and 18 kills respectively. The match ended 16-9 in favor of Complexity after some Zeus kills, as well as knife kills and the always-reliable Negev shenanigans.

The teams journeyed onto Chernobyl to play Cache. Complexity lead 9-6 at the half again and Grim and floppy lead the team in kills again, too. After a first half full of troll buys from both teams, the North Americans and the Norwegians finished the map on a more serious note, not discarding the fun of course. 16-13 was the final result, as Complexity beat 777 2-0 in the series.

Complexity looked very relaxed during this event and it's important to have some fun while training every day to maintain good spirits. Even though BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 didn't go as well as the team wanted, the players and staff seemed like they were enjoying their time inside the server, which is always a good sign.
