Evil Geniuses dominate ATK in RMR seeding match
With a one-sided victory over ATK, Evil Geniuses have locked in the second NA American RMR qualifier's first seed. Despite the low stakes, the victory was likely a refreshing opportunity for Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and co. to cut loose after a surprisingly nail-biting run through the open qualifier.
Overall, the best-of-one on Mirage was a quick and painless affair for Evil Geniuses' top-flight roster, seeing the squad win the first twelve rounds without any substantive resistive from the South African-led squad. The final 13-2 scoreline at the end of the half can mostly be attributed to a pubstomp-esque performance from Brehze, with the veteran player ending EG's CT-side with 23 kills and only six deaths. Switching sides, ATK showed some signs of life by winning four out of the first five rounds in the half, pushing the scoreline to 14-6. However, the massive deficit was impossible to run down before EG won Mirage 16-6, clinching the first seed. Brehze ended the quick map with a 1.80 rating while ATK's Gareth Ries was the sole player with a positive rating — a 1.06 rating.
