steel open to entertaining offers from MDL and Professional teams
Josh "steel" Nissan has announced that he will be "potentially considering" options to compete on top ESEA MDL teams, and any professional teams. The announcement comes at the conclusion of what was a disappointing return season for steel, in which his Torqued squad finished 8-8, and out of the playoff running.
Back when Dust2.us interviewed steel at Fragadelphia 11, he stressed that his main goal with Torqued would be to play with friends and actually enjoy playing the game. Now, with a renewed taste for competition, it seems that having a good time with his buddies may not be enough.
What this means for Torqued is that the team's future is uncertain. The team already made one change to their original formulation that began last season, replacing Neil "montE" Montgomery with Ricky "floppy" Kemery.
Torqued's roster at the end of ESEA MDL Season 26 was:
- Sam "4sh0t" Mariano
- Josh "steel" Nissan
- Trey "tck" Martin
- Armeen "a2z" Toussi
- Ricky "floppy" Kemery
While it seems unlikely that a Pro League team would take a chance on steel, due to him being unable to participate in Valve Majors and certain other events, he would certainly bring valuable experience to a bottom of the table team, or even a recently promoted MDL side.
