X13 undergo roster change
X13 have made a roster move just two games into their ESEA Advanced Season 41 campaign, bringing on Noah "flixxy" French in place of Austin "Sway" Pollock.
Sway was on X13's ranks for a little over two weeks, linking up with the squad during the team's rebuild which began following their relegation down to ESEA Advanced at the end of last season. During his brief stint, Sway helped the side to a 1-1 record to kick off X13's start in the division whilst also participating in the side's run through the second IEM Dallas open qualifier. This notably saw the lineup falter in the fourth round following a 16-10 defeat at the hands of Third Impact.
flixxy, meanwhile, joins X13 after spending just under a fortnight with Omega where he also played just two games with that roster. Ironically, the 21-year-old's final game with Bradley "LukeK" Walker and company was a 16-6 loss versus his new teammates in X13. Prior to his short-lived time with Omega, flixxy spent the past three seasons in ESEA Advanced with Touch Point where he twice managed to reach playoffs, finishing in 9th-12th place both times.
Expanding on his exit from X13 on Twitter, Sway stated that he will be taking a break from CS:GO to focus on real-life commitments. In the meantime, the 22-year-old will be standing-in for Brazen while they sort out their roster woes before returning to X13 as a full-time substitute for the remainder of the season.
X13 will be moving forward with:
-
Matthew "scar" Bruni
-
Max "Makzwell" Sparrey
-
Kaid "bootylord" Miller
-
Josh "JBa" Barutt
-
Noah "flixxy" French
-
Kieran "KayJay" Playfair (Coach)
-
Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady (Analyst)
flixxy has already made his debut in his new home, taking down Fire Breathing Duckies 16-8 last night to help X13 go 2-1 in the league. Their next matchup sees the quintet face off against Arctic Ace on May 5th at 09:30PM.
