MIBR sign Brazilian legend as coach
MIBR have announced the addition of mibr alumni Bruno "BIT" Lima as their head coach. His addition to the lineup marks the end of a two-month interregnum where the team lacked a head coach following the retirement of Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci.
In his new role, BIT will look to once again elevate the legendary tag where he spent the most prestigious years of his nearly 20-year long playing career that spanned all three major versions of Counter-Strike.
BIT has been tied to MIBR for sometime, with the move being first reported by Roque Marques of ge esports all the way back on January 13th. However, as reported on by Draft5, a contractual deadlock with BIT's former team, 9z, prevented the Brazilian from formally leaving the organization until recently.
While awaiting the arrival of BIT, MIBR elected to have their manager Ramon "rmn" Brandão stand behind the team and join the server as their coach during online matches in part due to Renato "nak" Nakano still being in Brazil. Unfortunately, the team will have to wait to utilize BIT in officials as MIBR were unable to register him for PGL Antwerp Major 2022 Americas RMR and will instead utilize nak in Romania.
MIBR are now:
-
Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
-
Raphael "exit" Lacerda
-
Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato
-
Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia
-
Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian
-
Bruno "BIT" Lima (Coach)
-
Renato "nak" Nakano (Strategic Coach)
The first event BIT will be able to coach MIBR is set to be BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, which is set to start on April 27th.
