JDubs exits Big Chillin
Johnny "JDubs" Wu has announced his departure from Big Chillin, leaving the organization after initially joining on January 7th. JDubs came into the squad amidst Big Chillin undergoing a major rebuild after being demoted from ESEA Premier/ECL following a 1-7 record in Season 39.
During his time with Big Chillin, JDubs and co. managed to make it into ESEA Advanced Season 40 playoffs despite parting ways with Sean "Subarashii" Tuttle early in the season. In playoffs, the team finished in 7th-8th place alongside InControl after losing their opening match against Limitless.
In the lower bracket they bested Snakes Den and Levitate before ultimately falling to Unjustified. It is worth noting however, that their playoffs run was not without controversy as their matches against both Levitate and Unjustified were marred by DDoS attacks against their opponents.
Outside of ESEA Advanced, Big Chillin's most notable result with JDubs was a 9th-12th place finish at Fragadelphia 16 where the team failed to make it out of the group stage despite a close final match against Carpe Diem.
JDubs told Dust2.us that he elected to leave Big Chillin to pursue better offers from ECL teams.
Big Chillin are now:
-
Devin "Xzen" Barber
-
Michael "Munk" Klotz
-
Hunter "Retnuh" Holm
-
Matt "dvl "Buechel (Stand-in)
-
William "Aphotic" DeVoe (Coach)
The team will look to find a replacement for JDubs before the start of ESEA Advanced Season 41 on April 25th.
