Report: swag set to bring Swole Patrol back to full strength
According to a report from Rush B Media, Swole Patrol is set to re-form with Sam "s0m" Oh, Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor, and Michael "dapr" Gulino alongside Braxton "swag" Pierce.
The move would primarily reunite swag and Zellsis, who played together on Swole Patrol from July to December of last year. It could also retain s0m, who stood in for the team in the IEM Sydney Qualifier, although the report mentions that s0m has received offers from ESL Pro League teams.
Another possible circumstance that could impede the roster move is the fact that ANDROID is still contracted to compLexity, and would need to be bought out of his contract. Dust2.us also knows that the team's coach for the IEM Sydney Qualifier Danny "fRoD" Montaner is set to continue with the team.
The question mark of the team's ESL Pro League slot still remains, as the league's rulebook and licensing regulations don't mention the technicalities of giving licenses, even provisional ones, to teams without a backing organization or sponsor.
Unlike the ESL Pro League regulations, the IEM Sydney rulebook details how teams with provisional licenses keep spots at the event. In the rulebook, it says that a majority core is needed to retain provisional licesnes, which would imply that eUnited will compete in Sydney.
Should the moves go through, Swole Patrol's lineup would look as follows:
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Sam "s0m" Oh
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor
- Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)
Swole Patrol is not currently set to participate in any tournaments, unless they compete in the aforementioned ESL Pro League.
