witmer cut from MASSIVEimpact on eve of MDL roster lock
Today on his stream, Shawn "witmer" Taylor announced that he had been cut from MASSIVEimpact following disagreements over his role within the team.
During his stream, witmer accidentally shared a conversation between himself and Jeremy "Jeremy9000" Gray, the team's manager. In the Steam chat, witmer talks about how he was uncomfortable with continuing to in-game lead and that he would rather go back to being a dedicated AWPer. It appears the team decided to opt against allowing him to continue on the team with a new role.
Based on the Steam message in the stream, and from what Dust2.us has learned from reaching out to witmer, the primary fracturing point came after witmer refused to be in-game leader while Collin "wrath" McSweegan refused to accept his leadership.
Additionally, it was also revealed that the team had originally planned to drop Daniel "roca" Gustaferri, however it appears that that plan has now been shelved.
With witmer out, MASSIVEimpact are now:
- Sebastian "seb" Bucki
- Collin "wrath" McSweegan
- Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic
- Daniel "roca" Gustaferri
This removal puts MASSIVEimpact in a bind as the MDL roster lock has gone into effect today, however Dust2.us has learned that the team will be using Connor "CONNOR93" Glover in their match against Forty Six and 2 tonight. It is yet to be seen who the team will use for their remaining four matches, but they do have options as along with CONNOR93, Ryan” GRAMPZ" Baber and Kenny "kenny-1os-" Dang are on the team's ESEA roster though they have not paid their league fees.
