Golden returns to Cloud9 as flusha departs
Cloud9 have announced the return of sidelined in-game leader Maikil "Golden" Selim to their active roster. In a move that was less anticipated, they have also announced that Robin "flusha" Rönnquist will be leaving the team, and that he will be "step[ping] away from the game for the time being."
The move comes in the wake of the passing of flusha's mother, just over a week ago.
Golden has released a TwitLonger, opening up and revealing that he was diagnosed with myocarditis, an inflation of the heart muscle. He went on to say that he has made several alterations to his lifestyle, including limiting his sugar intake and quitting snus.
This leaves Cloud9's roster as such:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey
- Maikil "Golden" Selim
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro (Trial)
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
However, much is still up in the air for the team, as it is unknown if Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro will be continuing with them, and long-time coach Soham "valens" Chowdhury is set to step down. Former compLexity coach Ron "Rambo" Kim has attended recent events with Cloud9, and may be set to take on that role full-time.
