zNf steps down from Vireo.pro, to take break from competitive
Vireo.pro have announced over social media that the team has benched Donovan "zNf" Froid, one of the original members back when the team went under the moniker Normal People and Rustun.
The player also released his own statement through Twitlonger, in which he described the reasons why he decided to step down from the team. In his statement, zNf described internal tensions between himself and his teammates, who decided to use their coach instead of him for the decider match in the MDL playoffs.
zNf had previously expressed frustration towards himself and his own team over Twitter. Following the team's loss to cantwinalan in the MDL Season 29 semifinals, zNf tweeted that he "shouldn't play this game anymore," with the team using Rustun "Rustun" Lusk for their decider match against Singularity the next day.
As the team go into the offseason, Vireo.pro's current roster is:
- Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue
- Robert "robby" Brown
- Brenden "stellar" McGrath
- Ricky "floppy" Kemery
- Rustun "Rustun" Lusk (Coach)
- Ethan "paperboy" Lillie (Inactive)
- Donovan "zNf" Froid (Inactive)
Vireo.pro are slated to participate in the fourth and final open qualifier for the Americas Minor, for which only two slots remain in the closed qualifier.
