AVANGAR break eUnited in Brooklyn
After AVANGAR narrowly defeated Movistar Riders in the lower bracket, the Consolidation Final between the Kazakh team and eUnited was set to take place on Mirage.
The North American side began hot, taking a 5-0 lead on the Terrorist side. From here, AVANGAR began trading rounds out, bringing the score to 7-5, before a 1v3 clutch from Kaleb "moose" Jayne ensured his team would win the half — which they did with a 9-6 score.
However, once AVANGAR switched to the Terrorist side, the game took on a different complexion. The Kazakh side took the opening pistol and the ensuing two rounds, tying the game at 9-9. A 1v1 clutch from Brandon "Ace" Winn put his team back in the lead, but it would not last, as AVANGAR would go on a seven round streak to take the game.
The Grand Finals of MSI MGA will be played tomorrow on the main stage at the Barclays Arena, at 11 AM EDT. The match between compLexity and AVANGAR will serve as a precursor to the ESL One New York Grand Final, which will see Liquid take on mousesports.
