gMd gets LiviD
ESEA Advanced squad LiviD have added Anthony "gMd" Guimond to replace Michael "MkaeL" De Luca on their starting roster, Dust2.us has learned. The former Rogue player has already joined the team's ESEA roster and paid his league fees. He also appears on the starting lineup in the team description.
After being removed from Rogue in favor of Ricardo "Rickeh" Muholland, gMd linked up with FYB to play MDL in the former Torqued spot. With the mix-team, they managed to reach the playoffs but fell in the round of eight to Vision. After that he joined ex-Dignitas and was set to play MDL S29 with them, but with the team disbanding, found himself teamless once again.
In a statement, Danny "huynh" Huynh said:
We had no problems with MkaeL. He was a great teammate and great fragger and he has so much potential. But gMd messaged us and said he was willing to join us and grind with us so we had to make the move.
MkaeL had only recently joined the squad, in a swap for David "J0LZ" Jolin between LiviD and Grizzlys. Despite this, MkaeL played the DreamHack Montreal BYOC with his former team, never seeing any formal action with LiviD. He now finds himself on the lookout for a new team after being replaced by the more experienced gMd.
Here is LiviD's new roster going into Season 29 of Advanced:
- Samuel "smL" Bertrand
- Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre
- Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette
- Danny "huynh" Huynh
- Anthony "gMd" Guimond
LiviD's first match in Advanced is set to be against Geostorm on Sept 20th.
