rain and the girls are off to Macau to face off against international female teams

dignitas fe to play Gamer Girl Festival in Macau

The North American female team find themselves in a field of four teams competing over the weekend

Hosted by Grow uP Esports, the Gamer Girl Festival will be taking place on September 2nd and 3rd, in Macau. There will be both a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive female tournament, as well as a League of Legends event, with the two events sharing a 100,000 HKD prize pool. There were doubts if the event would continue as planned after Macau was impacted by Typhoon Hato, but it appears that the show will go on.

Dignitas fe are the lone North American competitor that has been invited to the event, with the other contenders hailing from Europe and China. The American/Canadian squad last saw offline action at Fragadelphia 11, where they exited in the group stage to SetToDestroyX and eventual runners-up of the event Rise Nation. The team also recently secured a birth at the WorldGaming Toronto Regional, where their stiffest competition will almost certainly come from Joshua "steel" Nissan's Torqued squad.

The team departed North America for their destination yesterday, and have already arrived.

The teams list for Girl Gamer Esports Festival is as follows:

  • dignitas fe (EMUHLEET, artStar, rain, GooseBreeder, CAth)
  • eLixer fe (Valen, TiMing, Matilda, Moon, mdzz)
  • expert fe (Shifty, KllyVe, Petra, nylon, Juliebabz)
  • Riot fe (MAR1ON, Monkey D. Julie, KiTTy-KaT, zon1Q, Öykümeister)

Both of the European sides will be fielding stand-ins in the form of Julie "Juliebabz" Kokholm for Gina "Jinjin" Kleinen and Öykü "Öykümeister" Büyük for Ana "ANa" Dumbravă.
