compLexity and Rogue secure ECS Season 5 places
With the upper bracket of the ECS Challenger Cup concluding last night, compLexity and Rogue were the first two teams to secure a spot into the league's fifth season, which is set to begin March 13th.
The first team through were compLexity, who secured passage over Rise Nation in two maps, 16-5 and 16-11. The second team through were Rogue, who saw similar scorelines in their games against Splyce, securing their wins 16-11 and 16-2.
As such, the current teams through to ECS Season 5 are:
SK | Cloud9 |
Liquid | OpTic |
NRG | Renegades |
Luminosity | compLexity |
Rogue | TBC |
With CLG not using their place in the season, due to folding their CS:GO department, the lower bracket teams will be fighting for one final place. With oNe knocking out Bravado and Ghost taking down BlackOut in two maps, they remain to try their luck once again. The upcoming fixtures are:
Splyce | vs. | oNe | 3 PM EST |
Rise Nation | vs. | Ghost | 3 PM EST |
TBC | vs. | TBC | 6 PM EST |
The winners of those two games will then face off against each other in a final match to determine who will be set to join compLexity and Rogue in ECS Season 5.
