What to expect from Complexity v. The MongolZ

Despite a trove of top teams backing out of the event, Complexity has found themselves matched against another highly ranked team in The MongolZ.

For the Swiss stage at PGL Cluj-Napoca, all matches are best-of-three, but Complexity has found no luck in a full series this year yet.

Coldplexity

It's been a tough start to 2025 for Complexity. The NA roster was unable to pick up a map against in three matches in January, losing 0-2 to Virtus.pro, Eternal Fire, and Liquid. Their IEM Dallas EU open qualifier ended in the round of 32 as well.

The new roster is taking on tougher competition, and other than Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli to a degree, no one has stepped up. Someone has to.

The MongolZ build momentum

The MongolZ are still riding the high of 2024, notching some nice wins early in the 2025 season. They secured wins against Liquid, GamerLegion, and Eternal Fire at Katowice, losing only to NAVI and eventual champs Vitality.

Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch has looked great on the AWP, and if he can outduel hallzerk, The MongolZ should have no trouble against Complexity.

Complexity and The MongolZ played three maps against each other at ESL Challenger Atlanta in 2023. The MongolZ won all three maps.

This could be an ugly series for Complexity. This is by no means a bad roster, but they're outclassed against the MongolZ at this stage.
