BLAST will return to the US for the first time since 2023

BLAST.tv Austin Major prices raise eyebrows, but tickets sold out anyway

It looks like most of the tickets were sold during the presale.

There are no more tickets available for the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June. The general sale kicked off on February 12th, one day after the presale, and the tickets sold out incredibly fast despite the high prices. The information was first reported by HLTV journalist Danish "Nohte" Allana, who attended a BLAST.tv Austin Major conference last night.

When the general sale started, fans noticed that many tickets were sold on February 11th via the presale, in which people who signed up for a BLAST newsletter got the password.

Counter-Strike fans and pros criticize BLAST.tv Austin Major prices

The community complained about the BLAST.tv Austin Major prices, but that didn't stop people from buying them. The Austin Major will be the first North American Major since the ELEAGUE Boston in 2018, so the hype was as high as possible.

While some fans were lucky to grab tickets for $200-$250, others had to pay over $500 to guarantee a regular seat in front of the stage.

One seat in particular sparked criticism from the community as it was selling for $920.40 during the presale. Former pro player turned streamer Austin "Cooper" Abadir was one of the many to comment on the high price.

Former EG White and EG Gold coach Joseph "Muenster" Lima went as far as to call the prices "predatory" in a discussion with former CS pro Bobby "stamina" Eitrem.

stamina commented later on that the BLAST.tv Austin Major prices were much higher than IEM Dallas 2025's. Fans can buy a 3-day pass to IEM Dallas starting at $79.

The BLAST.tv Austin Major will run from June 3rd to 26th, while the Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQ) will take place online in April.

I got a ticket with my brother but I don’t know if we’ll be able to sit with our friends which is pretty messed up, idk why blast is doing this to us. Was Paris this expensive and such selective seating?
