Falcons, GamerLegion, BC.Game, 3DMAX qualify for IEM Dallas; one spot remains
The European IEM Dallas Closed Qualifier is coming to a close, with four of the five spots for the Texas tournament being handed out already.
Falcons, GamerLegion, BC.Game, and 3DMAX all qualified from the first day of action.
BC.Game are the only team to have made IEM Dallas that were not directly invited to the Closed Qualifier via the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). They slugged their way through the Open Qualifier and the next stage. They defeated BIG and Astralis in the CQ to punch their ticket to Dallas.
The other three aforementioned teams were invited to the closed portion of the qualifier, and they won their two matches to go straight to Dallas without any drama.
Astralis and HEROIC fell to BC.Game and 3DMAX, respectively, in qualification matches, sending them to the lower bracket.
Astralis would then defeat Zero Tenacity and BetBoom to secure their place in the lower bracket final. HEROIC's path saw them go through BIG and Metizport to set up the winner-take-all duel with Astralis.
The Astralis v. HEROIC match for the final European spot at IEM Dallas is set for February 20th.
