Daystar embrace NA roots with ESEA Advanced roster
American esports organization Daystar have entered the NA Counter-Strike 2 scene with the signing of a new roster for ESEA Advanced Season 52 on January 3rd. Despite the organization's American roots, it is actually their first foray into the NA esports scene as they have previoiusly hosted a Danish CS2 team and currently host a Hong Kongese squad Rainbow Six: Siege squad. The team were recently set to play ESEA Main Season 52, however they were gifted a spot in ESEA Advanced by the former straykids roster who disbanded and gifted the spot to Daystar.
The roster traces its legacy to the core of old NOVUM roster that competed in mid-2024 for a few months before dissolving, albeit without of the Brazilian players. To replace the Brazilian duo, Daystar initially recruited former Limitless player Dylan "DJF" Ferreira and Max "caustic" Gibson, although the latter player left after the team failed to lock in a spot in ESEA Advanced via the qualifier.
To replace caustic, Daystar ended up signing Lane "RiFT" Hardesty, who most recently played for Aether in ESEA Advanced Season 50.
Daystar are:
-
Dalton "doltn" Ehlers
-
Noah "flixxy" French
-
Dylan "DJF" Ferreira
-
Kyle "K2" Jacowleff
-
Lane "RiFT" Hardesty
Daystar currently have a 1-1 record in ESEA Advanced S52 and will be facing Kraken Seas next on January 20th.
