Bounties for BLAST Bounty Season 1 revealed

BLAST have revealed the bounty for each of the 32 teams attending BLAST Bounty Season 1 from January 14th to 18th. The bounties were defined based on the seeding, which follows the Valve Ranking System (VRS).

Liquid have a bounty of $30,000 and Complexity have a bounty of $15,000, while Wildcard and M80 have no bounty at all.

Unlike other tournaments in the scene, BLAST Bounty features a dynamic bounty prize pool rather than a pre-defined prize pool. This means that the prize pool will be distributed based on seeding and individual match results. The fun part of BLAST Bounty is that the lowest-seeded teams will choose their opponent in the first round. opting to challenge for a bigger or smaller bounty. Their picks will be revealed tomorrow, on January 11th.

The teams who defeat their opponent will earn 50% of the bounty while the other half carries over into the next match and so on before the quarterfinals. BLAST Bounty starts online and the top eight teams will play the second week in a LAN setting in Copenhagen, Denmark at BLAST Studios.

This is a single-elimination tournament and all matches minus the grand finals, which will be a best-of-five series, are best-of-three.
