Media: Elevate pivots back to Brazil after NA foray with timbermen
After parting ways with the timbermen core, following a botched qualification for the PW Shanghai Major North American RMR back in August, Elevate seems to be back in business with a very different roster.
According to a report by Dust2 Brasil, the North American organization has already signed three players and a coach, all of them Portuguese speakers. Elevate is looking to pivot back to a Brazilian roster, with a Portuguese coach, once again after a failed experiment between 2021 and 2022.
Currently the reported roster consists of Diogo "diozera" Nunes, a former MIBR Academy player, Gabriel "lash" Sampaio, an AWPer who recently left Yawara, and Sandro "skr" Kakeru, who parted ways with orgless lineup Bad News Chickens. They will be coached by Lucas "zander" Carvalho, who had a couple of stints with Case and Intense and also spent some time coaching Snakes Den in North America.
Dust2 Brasil also reports that the two open positions within the roster should be filled soon and the announcement of the full lineup will happen in the following days.
Elevate was the home of Derek "dare" Brown, Shane "shane" Dressler, and Wyatt "snav" Phillippi recently, but it was a short stop in the career of some legendary names in the North American scene a long time ago, such as Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Spencer "Hiko" Martin, and Keith "NAF" Markovic.
The reported new Elevate lineup currently consists of:
-
Diogo "diozera" Nunes
-
Gabriel "lash" Sampaio
-
Sandro "skr" Kakeru
-
Lucas "zander" Carvalho (Coach)
