launders LAN 2 announced with $25,001 CAD Prizepool

Hell yeah.

Mohan "launders" Govindasamy and his production company In-game corp have announced launders LAN 2, with the third LAN backed by the popular caster featuring a $25,001 CAD prizepool and up to 32 teams that will serve as a follow-up to the first launders LAN that was held back in April. The announcement follows news from early September that Nouns DAO had partnered with launders and co. to fund the tournament and make it the largest open Counter-Strike event in Canadian history.

launders LAN 2 is set to be once again held at The Warehouse, a venue in downtown Toronto, Canada, with the event set to run from January 4th to January 5th. Additionally, unlike the Rivalry-backed event, this event will be open to all ages, allowing younger players to compete and younger fans to attend.

The first launders LAN was won by a FLUFFY AIMERS mixteam over For Fun, with FLUFFY AIMERS taking home $6,000 CAD.

Along with a CS2 event, long-time Super Smash Bros. Melee fan launder has also announced a $5,000 CAD Melee event will take place at the venue in a separate part of the venue. The Melee event will be hosted by Cloud9's Joseph "Mang0" Marquez, who is regarded as one of the best Melee players of all time and one of the "Five Gods", a group of Melee players considered pioneers and legends of the game (Think 2012-2013 NiP).

At the time of publication, 12 teams have already signed up to the 32-team event, with teams being able to do so here.
