malbsMd claims first S-tier title with G2!
After three months of near misses at a trophy with G2, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa played a major role today in helping G2 take down NAVI 3-1 at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, seeing the Guatemalan star lift the first trophy in his career after a stellar performance in the finals and throughout the whole event.
Looking at the event as a whole, malbsMd ended the Danish LAN with a 1.13 rating, a 1.13 K/D ratio, and 76 ADR, a stellar showing despite the Guatemalan rifler having to take on more supportive and anchor roles within his new lineup. Overall, the past three months have seen malbsMd successfully make the transition into tier-one with impressive stats including a 1.18 rating and a 0.73 KPR as G2 has claimed a top-four finish during every single events with malbs outside of a top-six finish at IEM Cologne 2024.
With the Perfect World Shanghai Major RMRs right around the corner it is very likely we will see malbsMd make history as the first Guatemalan player to qualify for the Major and from there the sky's the limit for one of NA's largest success stories.
