Liquid crushed in BLAST quarterfinal
Blink and you might have missed Liquid even playing this afternoon. It was certainly a match to forget as Liquid were unable to mount any sort of challenge against FaZe. It's understandable considering that a few of Liquid's players have encountered flu-like symptoms, but regardless, it was not their best showing against a top tier opponent.
The match began on FaZe's pick of Inferno where the European side came out swinging on their T-side. Liquid barely could hold back the offense as FaZe collected eight rounds together to give themselves the advantage heading into the second half. FaZe immediately set the tone in the second half too as they collected four rounds in a row to get to match point before securing a 13-6 map victory.
Mirage was even more concerning as Liquid failed to find anything in the first half of Mirage. It truly felt like the game was over in the blink of an eye as FaZe took an 11-1 half. While Liquid won the pistol for the second half, they couldn't win the first gun round and soon found themselves on the losing end of the series as FaZe secured a 13-3 win.
Liquid now have IEM Rio 2024 to look forward to and maybe get healthier for the rest of the season
