Wildcard hit by visa issue for EC Atlanta, sub in polish AWPer
Wildcard's summer acquisition of the Swedish duo Tim "susp" Ångström and Love "phzy" Smidebrant was a blockbuster move for the organization. The team moved from a solidly North American core into an international squadron with significantly higher ambitions. Unfortunately, as first revealed this morning, some visa issues might hamper those ambitions.
The aforementioned phzy will not be in attendance down at ESL Challenger Atlanta this coming October as the Swede has some visa issues that will prevent him from traveling, according to head coach Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak.
"For those who ask, the boss phzy has visa problems", the polish tactician said in a post on X. "he will be worthily replaced by Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz at this tournament."
fr3nd is a Polish AWPer who was most recently seen with ENTERPRISE before departing in late August. As of today, he was seen playing with polish side, Permitta.
ESL Challenger Atlanta will begin next Friday and run throughout the weekend. Dust2.us will be on site, providing interviews and live event coverage.
