timbermen return to full strength with two former members
Matthew "nero" Seymour has confirmed to Dust2.us that himself and Christopher "aleph" Froden have joined timbermen as replacements for Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell and Deni "dea" Ediev following the duo's departure last week.
The move sees nero and aleph return to NA ESL Challenger League after spending the summer out in Asia with Bigetron Fury, a somewhat dead-on-arrival misadventure that saw the duo briefly rub shoulders with Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand before the roster quickly fell apart.
Since then, the duo have been back stateside looking for their next team while keeping busy via a mixteam ironically named BACKWHENEVER in ESEA Main Season 50. With that lineup winning that division last night and coming out $3,500 richer for their troubles, nero and aleph seem set to try their hand at the NA semi-professional scene with timbermen. nero and aleph are no strangers to the timbermen core, having previously played with them on timbermen and Luxe back in 2022.
With this new assignment, nero and aleph will aim to reassert themselves in the NA scene following the demise of Rocket last season thanks to Damian "EMIYA" Boulware's second cheating ban.
With nero and aleph, timbermen are now:
-
Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
-
Derek "dare" Brown
-
Shane "shane" Dressler
-
Matthew "nero" Seymour
-
Christopher "aleph" Froden
timbermen's next match in ESL Challenger League Season 48 is scheduled to be against E-Xolos LAZER on September 23rd.
