Party Astronauts return to full strength with ogwizard, Peeping

Two of NA's brightest prospects are set to ply their trade under ben1337 and co.

Party Astronauts have returned to full strength with the additions of Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula and Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell to the team's ranks, seeing the duo join Party Astronauts from LAG and timbermen, respectively. The incoming duo join Party Astronauts as replacements for Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Adam "WolfY" Andersson after they left PA following the team's failure to qualify to the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR in late August.

ogwizard's callup to one of North America's most prestigious orgless lineups comes as the 18-year-old Ukrainian AWPer has been plying his trade in ESL Challenger League over the past two seasons with LAG. Despite only recently breaking through into the upper echelons of the NA semi-pro scene, ogwizard has proven himself a capable AWP prospect, with the player boasting a 1.11 rating over 46 maps in the past three months.

As for Peeping, his career has thus far seen the 19-year-old rifler post strong number with FLUFFY AIMERS, Elevate, and timbermen, being a key part of the latter team's success in recent months, with Peeping posting a 1.08 rating over 68 maps.

Collectively the duo represent a pivot in Party Astronauts' strategy towards finding new players, with the team previously relying on experienced names like Colby "Walco" Walsh, William "RUSH" Wierzba, and Gage "Infinite" Green to fill their ranks. This change in direction has the potential to pay dividends as PA look to reassert themselves in the NA scene while also continuing their long hunt for an organization to call home.

Party Astronauts are now:

  • United States Ben "ben1337" Smith

  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green

  • Canada Justin "FaNg" Coakley

  • Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula

  • United States Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell

The new Party Astronauts roster will be making their debut in short order as the team is set to take on Mythic in ESL Challenger League Season 48 tonight at 09:00PM.

For what it's worth, I've never heard a bad thing about Peeping and he was never involved with any of their earlier or more recent incidents.

Hopefully it's a good move to get Peeping out of a toxic environment.
