Limitless lose another player as Wolffe exits team
Less than a week after Dylan "DJF" Ferreira announced his decision to step down from Limitless, the embattled ESL Challenger League Season 48 lineup has lost another piece with Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield announcing his departure from the team today. Wolffe's departure comes a week after the team's top-four finish at Fragicago 2024, which likely gave the squad hope of recovering their difficult season, however losing Wolffe has likely flipped the script for Limitless.
When DJF stepped down on September 11th, Limitless initially intended on adding Chance "xaler" Palmer as their new IGL, however xaler turned them down, telling Dust2.us that he decided to not join the roster due to concerns over the roster and his ability to significantly improve the lineup.
Wolffe's own exit from the squad mirrors similar concerns, with him telling Dust2.us that he stepped down due to feeling the roster had too many anchor and support players, leaving the team needing multiple roster changes to be successful. Wolffe's decision to leave Limitless puts the team in even more of a bind as they only have one roster addition left in S48, meaning DJF will likely need to finish the season to avoid the squad being disqualified.
Limitless are now reduced to:
-
Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich
-
McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison
-
Justin "Sandman" Saulle
-
Brennan "Aureo" O’Connell (Coach)
Limitless are currently fielding Andrew "Andrew" Burrell in their match against Aether in CCT Season 2 NA Series 3, with it currently being unknown if that will be a permanent addition. Regardless, Limitless will need to figure something out before their next match in ECL S48 against E-Xolos LAZER on September 24th.
