Complexity convert again against MOUZ to secure EPL playoff spot!
Complexity has knocked off the number five ranked team in MOUZ for the second time this tournament, doing so via a comfortable 2-0 margin again, and qualifying for ESL Pro League Season 20 playoffs.
The NA team delivered once again on Vertigo, winning on their go-to map for the fifth time this event in as many tries. It was another strong showing from Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Michael "Grim" Wince, who have both been playing exceptionally well during this event, namely on the CT-side.
The series then turned to Ancient, where Complexity had previously lost to both BIG and M80. Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, fresh after a splendid performance against Fnatic, carried MOUZ on their T-side with 16 kills in the first half. MOUZ got off to a fast start on their CT-side as well, getting up to a 10-7 lead. But from then on out, Complexity went on an unstoppable run on their T-side, again propelled by spectacular performances from floppy and Grim. Complexity won six T-side rounds in a row to steal away Ancient, the series, and the last playoff spot out of Group C.
ESL Pro League has overall been a very solid event for the North American region, with Liquid and Complexity qualifying for playoffs, and M80 even finishing first in their group and advancing directly to the quarterfinals.
