Complexity beat Astralis, again
It seems Complexity like tough challenges, as the squad has beaten Astralis once again after dropping to the Last Chance stage and has only won against higher-ranked opponents.
Complexity's next opponent are also a rematch, as MOUZ beat fnatic to reach the Last Chance stage grand final, where the winner will secure the last playoff spot from the group.
This series featured the same maps as the first one between both teams, starting on Vertigo, picked by Complexity. While this time overtime wasn't needed, the North American squad had a close 13-10 affair. The T-side proved to be very solid for Complexity with 8 out of the 13 rounds coming from the attack.
Inferno followed and it also didn't need overtime, contrary to what happened the last time these two faced each other. This time, Astralis managed to control Complexity's T-side to cruise to a comfortable 13-6 win after a 7-5 T-side.
Nuke, which had not been played the last time around, was needed to decide who would go home after this series. Complexity started on the CT-side of Nuke and won the pistol round to open the map. At the half, the North American side was leading 8-4. Astralis won the first four rounds of the second half, tying the game at 8 a piece before Complexity got up to 11-8. The Danes fought back and tied the game despite Complexity having had three series points. Astralis claimed a 14-13 lead at the half of OT, but Complexity rallied back to take the 16-14 win, staying alive in Malta.
