Aether part ways with RiFT
On September 10th, Lane "RiFT" Hardesty announced his departure from Aether, seeing the 20-year old rifler leave the lineup after almost three months with the Victorum/Aether core. RiFT's departure from the squad comes after Aether narrowly missed out on ESEA Advanced Season 50 playoffs, finishing the league in 25th place with an 8-6 record.
During his time with Aether, RiFT competed with the team during ESEA Advanced Season 50, CCT Season 2 North American Series 2, and the IEM Rio Open Qualifiers, with the team's run in the various events being relatively uneventful.
In the announcement of his departure on X, RiFT said there were no hard feelings towards his former teammates and that he would be looking for a new home heading into next season. Aether are also currently testing out Andrew "Drew" Warkentin as a replacement for RiFT in CCT Season 2 North American Series 3.
Aether are now:
-
Max "SolGoat" Wallace
-
Devin "AtomiK" Ferrell
-
Lucas "LUKE4k" Mizumoto
-
Trent "Frost" White
Aether are now 0-1 in CCT Season 2 North American Series 3 after a loss to Akimbo last night, and will await their next opponent in the swiss stage.
