M80 vs. Fnatic eight-overtime, 71-round thriller on Anubis sets a new CS2 LAN record
And that's only map one.
The opening map between M80 and Fnatic was a historical one, with Anubis going the way of M80 by a 37-34 scoreline, totaling 71 rounds overall. The map seemed destined to go to overtime after two 6-6 halves, but no one expected Anubis to go a record-setting distance.
By reaching an eighth overtime, Anubis between M80 and Fnatic broke the record for longest CS2 map on LAN, which was held by a 54-round Inferno match between TYLOO and The MongolZ from eXTREMESLAND 2023.
Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich and Ethan "reck" Serrano were the top performers on Anubis with 58 kills each.
The match is also possibly the longest match in CS2 played between two pro teams, with it almost certainly being one of the longest on HLTV if not the longest.
