PGL are back, but will still avoid NA

PGL to skip out on NA in 2025-2026 tour

At least we'll have a Major...

PGL has announced the details of its eleven tier-one events over the next two years, which will include stops in Astana, Kazakhstan, and Bucharest, Romania.

The organizer will also make stops in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Barcelona while promising "other surprises." The organizer will not be coming to North America over the course of the next two years.

The events will include sixteen of the best teams from around the globe, each with a prizepool of $1.25 million and a budget of $450,000 to provide each team with accommodation for eight people, practice rooms, and tickets.

The global Valve Regional Standings will determine invites to the events and will not include open qualifiers due to a "very busy event schedule"

The three South American events will be the exception to the global invite system and will include two of the top teams from the home region.

All events will feature a best-of-three Swiss system group stage, eight-team single elimination playoff brackets, and a best-of-five grand final.
