DETONATE prime for postseason
Yesterday, DETONATE announced via X that Raymon "rayxts" Mando had departed for another roster. It is now known that that departure was for him to serve as a replacement for Quinn "Nyyx" Knott on LAG. DETONATE resolved this hole in their lineup rather quickly, but not before also leaving Halen "Halen" Lang to explore other options as well. The voids in the roster will be filled by the duo of Andrew "dvrk" Brunken and John "arcade" Rogel.
As it stands now, DETONATE are sitting pretty in 12th place in Season 50 of ESEA Advanced, boasting a 6-1 record, while Unjustified are 4-2 and in 47th place, near the cut line for the coming thinning of the herd announced earlier this season by ESEA for Advanced and Main. dvrk's teammate Mitch "gloRinsz" MacInnis noted on X that this change for dvrk was an "offer for another team he couldn't refuse." DETONATE certainly offers dvrk more security in ESEA Advanced at a minimum, while also offering the chance to likely play in the Season 50 Advanced playoffs and contend for a place in ECL.
Conversely, arcade will be stepping back down from the ECL level to ESEA Advanced after most recently playing in ECL Season 47 with Carpe Diem as a stand-in. He also recently vied for promotion with many of his soon-to-be DETONATE teammates, once again as a stand-in, as a part of regain in ESL Challenger League Season 47 Relegation, where they were bested by Strife twice.
DETONATE are now:
-
Alexander "sasha" Burke
-
Eric "Zucar" Zuccaro
-
Nikolaos "PoseidoNN" Antoniou
-
Andrew "dvrk" Brunken
-
John "arcade" Rogel
Which leaves Unjustified with:
-
Mitch "gloRinsz" MacInnis
-
Alexander "LeX" Deily
-
Daniel "roca" Gustaferri
-
Reece "Orb1t" Brudny
Unjustified have until Wednesday to find a fifth before their match with Holly Molly on August 14th, while DETONATE will square off against HeadShot Kings that same evening.
