LAG hope for explosive impact from roster swap, coaching changes
The changes keep on coming for LAG as Dust2.us has confirmed the team has swapped out Quinn "nyyx" Knott for Raymon "rayxts" Mando from DETONATE in ESEA Advanced while LAG themselves have also announced that Taylor "ioRascal" Hays has stepped down from the team with immediate effect while Dust2.us understands that Alex "Takumi" Henning has taken over as interim head coach while LAG search for a permanent replacement.
LAG are sitting at 5-9 in ECL Season 48, picking up back-to-back BO1 wins against Elevate and Limitless, while splitting with Wildcard. Aside from that it's been losses across the board, though they do still have some series against the lower tier of ECL, presumably the reason that they are seeking to bolster their roster.
When LAG faced off against DETONATE in CCT North America Season 2 Series 2 rayxts dropped 42 frags and had over 100 ADR against LAG, which seems to have left a lasting impression on his then opposition, now teammates in their decision to replace Nyyx. Additionally, Nyyx has had a somewhat underwhelming performance in ESL Challenger League Season 48, posting a 0.90 rating over fourteen maps.
As for the coaching change, Takumi told Dust2.us that he will be taking over as interim head coach in order to smooth the departure of ioRascal, who was intentionally expected to leave the team after Fragicago 2024 in early September after shadowing Takumi at the LAN.
