Endpoint part ways with Frøg

Endpoint parted ways with Frøg after being confirmed to miss the Shanghai Major

Today British organization Endpoint announced their decision to part ways with Felix "Frøg" Bergeron, seeing the French-Canadian coach leave the organization after more than a year on their books.

Frøg's departure marks the end of a fairly novel arrangement that saw Endpoint as the only organization in the European scene to host an NA coach, with Frøg joining a fairly exclusive club that also included Kieran "KayJay" Playfair, Joshua "m1cks" Micks, and Colin "koi" Thor at various points in the past.

In announcing his departure, Endpoint pointed to the team's results being below the organization's expectations, with the British organization having no path to the Perfect World Shanghai Major as a result. The organization's rationale for parting ways with Frøg seems to focus on shuffling personnel rather than a key deficiency in his craft as Endpoint admitted that having Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko and Henrich "sl3nd" Hevesi poached by OG and GamerLegion, respectively, played a role in the team's results.

With Frøg leaving the team, Endpoint are now:

  • Kia "Surreal" Man

  • Max "MiGHTYMAX" Heath

  • Oscar "AZUWU" Bell

  • Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel

  • Jan "cej0t" Dyl

Frøg will now be looking for a new role in the Counter-Strike 2 scene, with his options split between NA and Europe as he currently lives in Canada while his wife lives in the United Kingdom.
