Clipping glitch allows players to see through walls
Another day, another bug has been found, this time allowing players to potentially exploit the in-game camera to see through walls.
Now, it is not as egregious as you might think and is not like the ability to see player outlines across the map. However, when executed, it can be a devastating and repeatable glitch that will turn the tide for any player in a matchmaking game.
This glitch can be done extremely easily by just binding any key to "+attack;-attack;slot5". To work, the player must hold an item in slot 5, which is reserved for the C4. Therefore, this glitch can only be exploited on the T-side.
As shown in the clip below, players can spot a player in a sniper's nest of Mirage without ever exposing their player model, which can provide information and an advantage.
The exploit was first brought to the public's attention by X user ville who also wrote out how to repeat the glitch.
This can be broadly related to a bug earlier this year where sv_cheats could be enabled on secured servers. FACEIT handed out two year bans to anyone who used that exploit, and considering the similar competitive integrity issues in this glitch, may very well hand out similar bans for those who use this in a match.
