What to expect from OG v. Complexity

After an unfortunate beginning to the second half of 2024 with eliminating losses at the Esports World Cup, Complexity need to have a good showing at BLAST Fall Groups if they want to stay in the top ten teams in the world. They started their campaign on the wrong foot, losing to HEROIC in the opening match despite their star sniper, Abdul "degster" Gasanov, absent from the server.

Now, OG and Complexity play to see who still has a chance to continue on and who drops to the Showdown.

No HeavyGod spells problems

OG's last season was dictated by how far Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko could carry them. Now in Cloud9's roster, HeavyGod cannot help OG in this challenge. The team has struggled even with their star rifler, losing the eight serious prior to this one. It hurts knowing that they will not even be fielding a complete roster for this game neither, with Thomas "Thomas" Utting's future unclear at this moment.

Complexity, battered but still better

It's fairly clear that Complexity aren't coming into this tournament at the peak of their form, currently on a three series losing streak comprising of a last-place finish at the Esports World Cup and their opening loss here. Yet, they finished the season strong with a trophy at ESL Challenger Jönköping. Who will we see in the server? EWC Complexity or Jönköping Complexity?

Two two butted heads in the BLAST Spring Showdown earlier this year. OG came away with that one 2-1, but HeavyGod top fragged that series. Without him, can OG pack as much of a punch?
