Official: Wildcard sign Swedish duo
Wildcard have officially announced the signings of Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Tim "susp" Ångström to their squad after introducing Polish coach Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak yesterday. Wildcard's previous tactician, João "horvy" Horvath, left the organization shortly ago as he is set to join Brazilian organization W7M as their new head coach.
The additions of phzy and susp is a hard shift for the Wildcard organization who have been firmly established in the North American region since acquiring the Detonate roster and entering CS:GO in April 2023.
With these changes, the Houston-based organization is looking gain more international experience in signing the Swedish duo as replacements for Adam "Grizz" Golden and AWPer Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan.
In that regard, phzy is the more experienced of the incoming duo, as the 21-year-old AWPer has represented Young Ninjas and even NIP briefly during his time in the European scene, while also spending a number of months in China with Rare Atom. As for susp, while his career has been firmly centered on the Swedish scene, during his time on Metizport, the squad went abroad to compete in GET Rio 2024.
With this new composition, Wildcard are fortunately still eligible to compete in the Americas RMR as the roster features an equal number of NA and EU players, allowing the organization to choose what region to represent.
Wildcard are now:
-
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz
-
Josh "JBa" Barutt
-
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
-
Love "phzy" Smidebrant
-
Tim "susp" Ångström
