mithR will be donning new colors in short order

Official: Liquid unveil mithR

The Dane has officially linked up with Liquid ahead of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

Liquid have today unveiled the addition of former Apeks and MOUZ coach, Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg, as the team's new head coach heading into the second half of 2024. The Dane joins Liquid after first being reported by Dust2.us and HLTV to be Liquid's choice to replace Wilton "zews" Prado following his departure from the team on June 25th.

mithR's addition to Liquid's ranks will see the 34-year-old Dane in his most high-profile role to date, having previously worked with Apeks, MOUZ, Renegades, and North in a long career that dates back to 2016.

While his previously engagements are less high-profile a signing compared to Wilton "zews" Prado, he crucially comes with far more recent tier-one experience than the former Fluxo coach while also having more experience with international teams.

This is important as Liquid are reportedly set to enlist Justin "jks" Savage and Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak, with the duo creating a truly international roster on Liquid. mithR's experience working with unproven talent on Apeks will also hopefully prove invaluable as ultimate is fundamentally unproven and will need a lot of support to succeed at a tier-one level.

Liquid are now:

  • Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic

  • Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis

  • Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken

  • Denmark Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg (Coach)

Liquid are expected to announce jks and ultimate in short order as Liquid will be in action at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups in short order, with the Danish LAN set to start on July 26th.
